I was born and raised in Maryland, USA. I received my B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and graduated with University Honors from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2009.
I am currently a graduate student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under the advising of Prof. Minh Do. My research interests include image and signal processing, stastical signal processing, and machine learning. I am also interested in the use of technology, and specifically those related to signal processing, to assist the elderly and disabled, especially the visually impaired. In 2013, I was awarded a research fellowship from MIT Lincoln Labs.
