I am a four-year Ph.D. student at the Computer Science Department of UIUC, under the supervision of Prof. Jiawei Han. My researh interest falls in the areas of data mining and applied machine learning. Currently, I am interested in developing effective and scalable data mining methods for semantics-rich spatiotemporal data to understand people's behaviors in the urban environments. My investigated tasks include activity prediction, local event detection, and mobility modeling.
